We forged this line using genuine Takefu Japanese VG10 Cobalt Stainless Steel. This elite alloy contains roughly 1.5% Cobalt, which is a rare and premium addition in stainless steels. The chemical inclusion of cobalt drastically increases the steel's structural strength, wear resistance, and tempering resistance. For you, this means an incredibly durable edge that resists micro-chipping and maintains its razor-sharp factory finish significantly longer than standard 440C steels.

Frictionless Engineering: The Ball Bearing Pivot
