Here's how it works...
1. Choose a Mail-In Kit or Drop Off 📦
We offer flexible options to make professional sharpening as easy as possible. Customers can choose from our pre-sized mail-in kits, which are designed to safely ship scissors, knives, clipper blades, and other cutting tools for sharpening and repair. Each kit includes protective materials and clear instructions to help ensure your tools arrive securely.
Or, complete our order form and mail in using your own box. For local customers who prefer in-person service, drop-off is also available.
2. Professional Sharpening & Repair 🔧
All sharpening and repair services are performed by experienced professionals using equipment designed for precision cutting tools. We service grooming shears, hair cutting scissors, fabric and sewing scissors, clipper blades, knives, and other specialty tools, with attention to correct edge geometry, alignment, and function.
In addition to sharpening, we evaluate tools for wear, damage, and performance issues that may require adjustment or repair. Our goal is not just to make tools sharp, but to restore smooth, predictable cutting and extend the usable life of your equipment.
3. Quality Checked by Experts ✔️
Every tool is inspected and tested after service to ensure it meets performance expectations. This includes checking sharpness, alignment, tension (where applicable), and overall cutting feel. Blades and shears are tested individually, so each item receives focused attention.
If a tool does not perform as expected after service, it can be re-evaluated and corrected at no additional charge. Quality control is a critical part of our process and helps ensure tools are returned ready for professional use.
4. Fast Return Shipping or Pickup 🚚
Once sharpening or repair is complete, tools are carefully packaged and prepared for return shipping or pickup. Mail-in orders are shipped back promptly so tools spend minimal time out of rotation, while local customers can arrange pickup after service is complete.
Turnaround times may vary depending on workload and service type, but we aim to keep the process efficient and predictable. Clear communication and secure handling help ensure your tools are returned safely and ready to use.

frequently asked questions
How can I tell if my shears need sharpening, adjustment, or repair?
Professional shears should cut smoothly and effortlessly. If your shears begin pushing or bending hair or fur, require extra force or repeated snips, produce uneven or ragged cuts, or make a clicking or chattering sound when opening and closing, they likely need attention.
Start by checking and properly adjusting the shear tension. Perform a test cut on hair or fur using normal hand motion. If the shears cut cleanly without catching, folding, or requiring wrist torque or added pressure, the issue may have been tension-related. If cutting still feels rough or inconsistent after proper adjustment, the blades are dull and need sharpening.
As a general guideline, professional groomers and stylists who use shears daily often require sharpening every 2–4 months, or roughly three to four times per year, depending on workload and cutting technique. Hair styling shears used less aggressively may need service slightly less often, while part-time or home use shears are typically sharpened every 6–12 months. Regardless of use level, letting shears go longer than 6–12 months without professional service can lead to poor cutting performance and increased wear.
In short: sharp shears cut effortlessly. If cutting requires effort, causes hand fatigue, pulls hair, or produces inconsistent results, your shears likely need sharpening or professional evaluation. If you’re unsure whether the issue is adjustment, sharpening, or repair, we’re happy to help diagnose the problem.

Do you guarantee your work or offer resharpening if I am not satisfied?
Of course. We stand by our sharpening and testing methods and we know that sometimes our results in shop are not perfectly indicative of performance in a working environment under heavy use. Any further replacement parts will be billed as usual unless our shop is responsible for damage.
